How is the procedure performed?
Laser skin resurfacing can be adjusted based on the patient’s needs. Mild to moderate skin changes, this procedure can be safely and comfortable performed with topical (numbing cream) and local anesthesia. More severe skin changes require stronger treatments, which are best tolerated under anesthesia (local with sedation or general anesthesia).
This laser treatment can be performed at the same time as other facial surgical procedures such as upper and lower blepharoplasty and brow lifting procedures. After the procedure mild pain is managed with over-the-counter agents such as Tylenol. A skin care regimen will be recommended to help you achieve the maximal results with your treatment.
